The lovely diamond weighs 0.05 carats and the shimmering blue sapphires weigh a total of 0.22 carats.

These are not Stock photos, but are actual pictures of the ring you will receive. The sapphires are GORGEOUS!! They show up just as clear and blue under normal daylight. These are not the dark black/blue sapphires found commonly in todays jewelry. Each sapphire weighs approximately .05 carats each and is Burmese in hue. A beautiful pair of origami earrings featuring cranes that I have folded from tiny pieces of origami paper!

Each of my cranes are carefully hard coated with a protective sealant in a process that takes up to three days to complete from the first fold to the final mounting. Notice that, unlike water-based sealants, my cranes retain their neat folds and crisp appearance. The coating seeps deep into the origami paper, intensifying and brightening the colors. In this case it even gives the white cranes an almost translucent look.

After the cranes set, I remove them from their drying rack and mount them individually on hand wrapped wire findings.

My cranes are made to last, but because there is a hole in them to mount them, I wouldn’t call them completely waterproof. Please avoid submerging them in liquids or showering and swimming while wearing them. They can however handle day to day wear. A light mist or bit of rain water shouldn’t do them any harm. Basically, treat them like fine jewelry. Avoid abusive situations and harsh chemicals (like setting them on fire or throwing them into paint thinner).

Each pair is gift boxed and includes basic care instructions.

A Neo Victorian, antique looking romantic treasure has a bit of tough edge to it - a metal rose is adorned with a blue swarovski crystal jewel (I can substitute white, red, purple, blue or green crystal in the center - I would consider custom colors for an additional fee).

This is a sapphire-colored swarovski, not a genuine sapphire.

I'm updating my review, partly in thanks to Linda who, after reading my original post saying that I'd had a problem with the ring, immediately contacted me and shipped me a replacement. I love this ring -- and I get many compliments on it -- so I am happy to have it again. The problem with the ring was probably more my fault than anything -- I wore it to work a couple of days and evidently knocked the lovely rose off at some point (probably when I was placing or removing my laptop from its case) - so now I'm making sure only to wear it on more formal occasions where I'm not knocking it around. :)

Genuine natural sapphire , Ceylon blue, good color saturation and clarity.

Past present future engraved inside with two small 1mm diamonds bezel set inside the ring.
Sapphire mesures 5.5 mm by 3.5 mm which equals 0.65 Carats of very high end quality sapphire in a desirable Ceylon color.
Two side diamonds measure 2.5mm and then shoulder accent diamonds measure 1.26mm (6 of them). Total carat weight of the diamonds is about 0.17 carats. The diamonds are top quality and estimated at VS1 and colorless at E/F color. May even be D color as ring is stamped 'D'.

Top of setting is elevated 5 mm from the finger when worn.

Setting is stamped 14K and is made of white gold. The ring weighs 2.6 grams.

Ring size is sized at a 7, but can be sized by my jeweler for a small fee of $45.

These Pink Sapphire gemstones from Madagascar are so pretty. They are darker than a baby pink, but still soft and feminine. The pink undertones make these gemstones come alive. The closest to the real color would have to be the earrings with the ruler. Some of the other pictures depict them as having a "flat" look, which they do not. This is a Genuine Natural Iolite. Iolite is the gem name for Cordierite, also called "Water Sapphire". Iolite has Dichroite properties, as it shows two or more colors at a time. It has a beautiful violet blue color and most stones are lightly included. This one is very clean and clear. The stone is trillion cut and measures 9 mm. The cut and color of this stone is excellent. Just gorgeous!

Any flaws that seem to appear in the picture are only light reflecting from the facet cuts. The stone appears flawless when you're looking at it.

I am so picky about the stones that I use for my jewelry. I reject and return nearly half the stones that I purchase. I'm always looking for the best quality at an affordable price. Outer earring diameter options are:
• 3/8 inch (10mm) - great for child's earlobes
• 1/2 inch (12mm) - ideal for child to small adult (thinner earlobes)
• 3/4 inch (19mm) - sized for most adults
• 7/8 inch (22mm) - larger hoop and bead

Please take into account that the inner hoop diameter is made smaller by the bead (half the bead's diameter) as well as the 1mm thick 20 gauge silver.

Bead sizes are approximately 4mm with the larger 7/8 inch hoop having the 6mm bead. These beads are made from natural materials so there will be a difference from bead to bead. I will do my best to pair matching beads within a set.

I now also have almost all the birthstone beads available except for December. If you have any requests or want a different color bead, please contact me. I'd be happy to discuss options.
