Pretty, large, and AMAZING quality iolite .. in a teardrop briolette..
I hardly see iolite in such grade these days..
Iolite almost always has inclusions and feathers .. but these are very nice!

Beautiful bluish gray gemstone.. also called water sapphire..
Mix with other blues or grays for a spectacular design!

Iolite is an exotic, pleomorphic stone, meaning it appears different colors when seen in different views.. look at it at one angle and it appears sapphire blue, another and it is gray, or grayish blue.. just mesmerizing!!  See shades in pics

Great as an affordable option for September's birthstone.. the costly sapphire .. or if you just love exotics like me :)
