Chrysophase is the top of the line (and most expensive) in the quartz group of minerals (which includes amethyst, citrine & peridot). As with all quartz material, the stone can be anywhere from opaque to transparent (naturally). It usually has a pretty apple green shade, but is sometimes yellow and sometimes has black tourmaline inclusions (lower graded material). These are high-grade chrysophrase stones, with no flaws or inclusions. They are hand cut (in India), so each stone is unique and sizes are not exact.I created the chain of this lovely, delicate and feminine necklace using 6x4mm chrysophrase faceted teardrop, 6x4mm chrysophrase faceted ovals, 6mm SWAROVSKI Rose Xilion bicones, 3x2mm gold plated brass rondelles and 10x2.5mm gold plated brass fancy tubes.
