A beautiful pair of origami earrings featuring cranes that I have folded from tiny pieces of origami paper!
This pair or earrings is a part of my new Birthstone Set. All of the cranes in this set are white and feature genuine Swarovski crystals in a birthstone color. I have all 12 birthstone colors available in my shop (June features a Swarovski pearl). Each of my cranes are carefully hard coated with a protective sealant in a process that takes up to three days to complete from the first fold to the final mounting. Notice that, unlike water-based sealants, my cranes retain their neat folds and crisp appearance. The coating seeps deep into the origami paper, intensifying and brightening the colors. In this case it even gives the white cranes an almost translucent look.
After the cranes set, I remove them from their drying rack and mount them individually on hand wrapped wire findings.
My cranes are made to last, but because there is a hole in them to mount them, I wouldn’t call them completely waterproof. Please avoid submerging them in liquids or showering and swimming while wearing them. They can however handle day to day wear. A light mist or bit of rain water shouldn’t do them any harm. Basically, treat them like fine jewelry. Avoid abusive situations and harsh chemicals (like setting them on fire or throwing them into paint thinner).
Each pair is gift boxed and includes basic care instructions.
