I love, love, love this gemstone. The gold flashes are totally amazing. "Lab grown" means a seed was taken from a natural Padparadscha Sapphire and grown in a controlled environment. It has all the same physical, chemical and optical properties as a natural Sapphire. The smaller gemstones are never the exact same color as the larger ones. They go well together, but I want people to be aware of that. This Padparadscha is a 10x8mm. It is set in a sterling silver pendant casting that hangs from an 18" sterling silver chain. Other Padparadscha Sappire pieces are available. Sapphire is the birthstone for September. Be careful when you see "natural" Padparadscha Sapphire advertised. Natural Padparadscha Sapphire would be extremely expensive as it is very, very rare.
